The Bellingham Whatcom County Housing Authority (BWCHA) regularly reviews its policies, procedures and plans furthering the agency mission to provide quality, affordable housing for low-and moderate-income families, elderly households, and persons with disabilities through innovative resource development and responsible stewardship of housing and fiscal resources.
The BWCHA is updating its Schedule of Estimated Labor and Materials Charges which may be assessed for the cost of cleaning and/or repair and replacement of damaged items due to neglect or abuse by the resident, a family member, or a guest of the resident. The anticipated implementation date of this revised schedule is January 1, 2018. This revised Schedule of Charges will supersede the current Schedule of Charges implemented January 1, 2017.
At this time we are seeking the input of BWCHA residents, community partners and interested community members to provide feedback to the BWCHA Board of Commissioners and Staff before changes are reviewed and approved by the BWCHA Board of Commissioners.
Public comment period regarding the Schedule of Charges will begin October 12, 2017 and end on November 13, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. The Housing Authority will be accepting written comments only.
